Paying homage to the luminaries of Hong Kong’s film industry, the avenue features handprints and statues of beloved stars like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Illuminated by the city’s dazzling lights at night, this cultural hub invites visitors to stroll, take in the sights, and capture stunning photographs of one of the world’s most vibrant urban landscapes. In this area, you will also find the Hong Kong Museum of the Arts, the Hong Kong Space Museum, the old Hong Kong Canton Railway Clocktower, and the Legoland experience, which my nine-year-old son especially enjoyed.
The Peak Tram
The Peak Tram in Hong Kong is an iconic symbol of the city’s skyline and a must-visit attraction for tourists and locals alike. This historic railway offers a breathtaking journey to Victoria Peak, the highest point on Hong Kong Island. As the tram ascends, passengers are treated to stunning panoramic views of the bustling city below, with its glittering skyscrapers and bustling harbor. At the Peak, visitors can enjoy unparalleled vistas, dine at world-class restaurants, and explore scenic walking trails. The Peak Tram is not just a mode of transportation but a great experience that captures the essence of Hong Kong’s dynamic energy and mesmerizing beauty. A 15-minute walk with a slight incline from the Star Ferry terminal will lead you to the Peak Tram entrance. You will then enjoy the 10-minute steep tram ride up to the Peak in their new sixth-generation tram cars, which now include glassed roofs. You can also pay an additional fee to enter the 360-degree observation deck; however, we were advised against it as it was cloudy and the views were affected by smoke pollution.
