Half an hour from Krabi Town or one hour from Ao Nang, you will find the most amazing naturally formed large freshwater fed crystal pool – The Emerald Pool Krabi. I have visited this beautiful place twice now in summer.
The circle shaped swimming lagoon is about 25 meters in diameter and can handle many tour groups.
The 800-meter walk from the car park to the pool takes you through a green lined forest with the sounds of water cascading past.
There are more pools further up the track on from the Emerald Pool Krabi including the Blue Pool. Please be aware that the sides of the pool are extremely slippery and care must be taken when exiting the pool. Not recommended for the elderly or infants.

Would I visit here again?
Yes. I have visited here twice now. I would only go back when my son is about 8 years old as the area near the pools is extremely slippery.
